Coventry MOT test centre
During the MOT, important parts on your vehicle are checked to ensure they meet the minimum safety and legal standards.
You can watch the test from a viewing area (takes about 1 hour) or you can check on line here when it is finished.
Information is downloaded to VOSA on line during the test and is assessed remotely. The results of the test are therefore online immediately and will be available if you are taxing your vehicle on the same day.
MOT test checks
The MOT checks the condition of the following areas: -Body and vehicle structure, Towbars, Fuel system, Exhaust emissions, Exhaust system, Seatbelts, Airbags, Seats, Doors, Mirrors, Load security, Brakes, Tyres and wheels, Registration plates, Lights, Bonnet, Wipers and washers, Windscreen, Horn, Steering and suspension, Vehicle identification number (VIN), Battery.
The condition of the engine, clutch and gearbox are not part of the MOT test.
